They rejected the passport and detailed her for 24 hours at a local jail cell that was no stranger to cockroaches.
Luckily, the model was allowed to keep her phone, something that would soon prove a life-saver. She quickly did what she does best: interact with her fans and friends through social media; within a short time, her over 300,000 fans reached out to ease her pain. Through their countless motivating messages and support, they kept her strong and eased.
Lacey was clearly angered by the treatment and decisions of the Thai authorities, exclaiming a couple of times that they were unforgiving in their engagement- before they escorted her to the holding cell. She vividly described how she was thrown in the rundown cell without any opportunity to appeal or get any form of aid on the issue. Her only weapon and item of solace was her phone. She used it to access her outreach platforms and thereby inform her publicist about her whereabouts and the misery she was undergoing on foreign soil.
While recounting her ordeal, the model described the jail scenery as dirty and stingy, and not any place that could sustain a human being.
The British authorities came to her rescue and managed to release her after a 24-hour stint. When she received the go ahead, she immediately went back home.
