A 25-year old influnecer named Kaitlyn, goes by the name Amouranth, might bave been blackmailed online.
An influencer is a person that has a popular presence on a social media platform like YouTube or Twitch. They influence what products their followers will purchase. If the influencer says that a particular kind of make-up is the best, they will buy that make-up.

Amouranth uses the social media platform called Twitch to get people to know her. Twitch does not like all the posts that here fans put on the Comments section. They have removed these posts for supposedly violating the community rules of Twitch. If you actually read Twitch’s terms and conditions, they don’t seem to violate them.

Last Spring, many Amouranth posts deleted from Twitch, and other social platforms were deleted. Amouranth started to keep of what posts were deleted. On June 5th, she received an e-mail that gave a tentative explanation for the deleted posts. This email came from an individual that called himself or herself and Tampa came from Cognizant, a Tampa, Florid firm that has a poor reputation. Cognizant employees seem to be poorly paid and overworked. This company does legitimate work that helps social platforms and influencers.

Tampa eventually told Amouranth that he/she will prevent post removals from social media platforms. Amouranth has only to pay Tampa pay around $2,600. At first, Amouranth just ignored the blackmail threats from Tamp. Last July, Tampa sent Amouranth records that showed the deleted posts with timestamps. Every post says what time it was posted. The information on these timestamps is not open to the public, but if you worked for a company like Cognizant or Instagram, it would be easy to get access to the timestamp.

After confirming the timestamps, Amouranth decided to take Tampa seriously. Amouranth requested her agent to talk to managers of social media platforms. The agent eventually got a representative on the phone. For most people, it is not possible to get a social media platform representative.

The agent communicated to the representative about the blackmail attempt. The rep did not take his communication seriously. The representative insisted that all of the posts were taken down for legitimate reasons. The agent’s call to the rep took 20 minutes and was taped. Amouranth was very frustrated and disappointed with the phone call. She told HuffPost here story. She made the recording of the rep phone online and public. She felt that it was getting difficult to find people who would take her problem seriously.

Some higher-ups did finally give Amouranth a response. They were concerned, but they believed that they could not do anything because there was no proof that any blackmail actually took place. This response from the higher-ups also said that that rep that the agents talked to had no knowledge about guidelines and was not supposed to respond to questions about the terms and conditions.

So far, what is known about Tampa? He or she is an insider at a social media platform that knows about procedures regarding posts and timestamps. He or she knows about the two-week restricted period after a post is taken down.
Currently, the identity of the blackmailer is not known.
